You learn to inspect the SAW, convert it between modes, guard your patient on every transition, and bring them up and down stairs safely.
Pass every quiz at 100% to advance. Work at your own pace.

The IFU requires a certified caregiver. We built buying SAW so your patient qualifies and your caregiver is certified before you pay the full price.

Make sure SAW is right for your patient.
A short qualification covering patient criteria, caregiver criteria, and your home staircase. You'll know if SAW is a fit before you pay anything.
STEP 3
Reserve your SAW with a refundable deposit.
$199 holds your order. Your caregiver completes certification next, then your balance unlocks.
STEP 4
Your caregiver gets certified.
Our Certification ensures safe and proper use. The Certification takes about 30 minutes and includes video tutorials, written lessons, and quizzes. It's sent as a part of your order, or get access on the Caregiver page.
STEP 5
Pay the balance. We ship your SAW.
Once your caregiver is certified, the $950 balance unlocks. Your SAW ships ready to use, no assembly required.
HSA and FSA eligible.
If your caregiver doesn't pass, we'll set up a call to assess. Switch caregivers, find a professional, or refund your deposit. Your $199 is yours until the moment we ship.

Yes. The cert is open to any relative, partner, friend, neighbor, or licensed professional who meets the caregiver criteria above. No clinical credential required.
Yes. SAW certification is specific to using the StairAssist Walker with a patient on stairs. It's not a substitute for your existing credential, and your existing credential doesn't cover SAW use. The cert is free, online, and takes about 30 minutes.
Yes. The cert is free and open to anyone. All family caregivers must enroll as part of ordering SAW. Most pros enroll because their patients use SAW or because they want to recommend it. Everyone helping a patient needs to be certified.
Retake it. Every quiz can be retaken as many times as you need. If you complete the program but still feel unsure about any part of it, contact us at cert@stairassistwalker.com, and we'll help you reassess.
No. SAW requires a SAW Certified™ Caregiver for every stair use. This is the safety design. On flat surfaces, in walker mode, they can use SAW independently like any walker.
Start the order any time. Cert is Step 4 of the buy funnel. Passing the certification unlocks the purchase ability through to Step 5: balance and ship.
No. Once you're a SAW Certified™ Caregiver, your credential applies to any patient you help. The patient must meet their own inclusion criteria (the qualification quiz covers this), but you don't re-take the cert.
